In the 4½ years of its existence PPAREA can boast of many accomplishments.

• A Multiple Listing Service, currently with over 400 listings, that is active and growing, with a trained administrator.
• A basic web site for the public, www.pparea.net, which is in the process of being expanded and updated.
• Standardized forms for listings, purchase offers, counter offers, etc., some of them bilingual.
• Operating procedures and policies which include ethics and standards of practice.
• Cooperation with the authorities in both Sonora and Arizona. The PPAREA’s current President is a member of the real estate task force of the Arizona-Sonora Commission, which is working to establish licensing in Sonora.
• A Business and Real Estate Expo, held in 2006, organized and sponsored by PPAREA, which gave the organization visibility in the community.
• A glossy publication, Mexico Land and Sea, featuring all the MLS listings of the association, published quarterly. Financing. One of the Institutional Members specializes in real estate mortgages and has worked very hard to secure financing for Mexican properties and now has six different lenders to choose from.
• Continuing education in Mexican real estate courses. The PPAREA conducts courses that are required by the state of Sonora for real estate registration and licensing. Committees. At present there are 4 committees within the PPAREA: Compliance, to enforce the standards and ethics; Education; Membership; and Publication.
